Banks Industrial Group provides the most advanced tank and vessel insulation panel system available today.  Our patented system provides long-term, maintenance-free thermal control of large bulk storage tanks in the chemical, oil, gas, asphalt, brewery, and food products markets. Each system is pre-fabricated to meet the highest quality control standards, and is custom engineered to meet the specific tank height, insulation requirements, and aesthetics that the customer requires.

Panel systems are available in stucco embossed aluminum, per ASTM B-209, or 304 type stainless steel combined with urethane, glass fiber or FOAMGLAS® board.

BENEFITS AND FEATURES

Convenience and Durability - The combination of an outer shell of aluminum or stainless steel with a double rolled seam provides a tank insulation system that is weatherproof, durable, and maintenance-free.  Horizontal cables are applied circumferentially around the tank, providing an internal anchor system that eliminates external bands.  Continuous vertical panels are manufactured to fit your tank height, and then the flanges are double rolled over each other by a self-propelled tool that travels up the panel seams, eliminating the need for scaffolding.

Thermal Performance - The best materials will be selected to meet your tank insulation needs, and combining thermally efficient insulation with the outer shell provides excellent in-place thermal performance.

Weatherproof - As rivets and screws are not required to hold the panels in place, there are no holes penetrating the outer shell.  The double rolled seam provides a weatherproof seal designed to withstand hurricane force winds.

Expansion/Contraction - The internal anchor and double rolled seam work together to accommodate the expansion and contraction of the tank, holding the panels securely against the tank regardless of thermal conditions.

In-Service Installation - Because no welding is required, this system can be installed while the tank is in service.

Repairability - On-site repairs can be made without affecting the integrity of the system.

Appearance - The pleasing vertical rib pattern offers outstanding esthetic characteristics.

Quality Assurance - Panels are manufactured to exact specifications, assuring the highest degree of fabrication consistency.

Roof Compatibility - The panel system is compatible with all types of conventional or standing rib roofing systems.

APPLICATION CONSIDERATIONS

Our panel system can be applied to any tank whose operating temperature does not exceed the system's limitations.  The existing tank surface condition must be addressed first.  If the tank is rusty, it must be reconditioned by sandblasting and priming.  The primer used must be able to withstand the elevated surface temperatures that will be present after the installation is completed.  If the tank has been recently primed or painted, and the materials used are known to be able to withstand the higher surface temperatures, the panel system may be installed without further tank surface preparations.  Tank temperature is not critical during installation.
