At Banks Industrial Group, we believe that the values guiding our work on the jobsite should shine just as brightly in our community. This holiday season, our team had the privilege of supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey (RMHSNJ)—an organization whose mission deeply aligns with BIG’s own family-first, people-driven culture.
For more than 40 years, RMHSNJ has provided a nurturing, supportive “home away from home” for families whose children are receiving treatment at local hospitals. Their mission is simple but life-changing: to offer comfort, stability, and compassionate care during some of the hardest moments a family can face.
They ease emotional and financial burdens by providing housing, meals, transportation, and an environment where parents and children can stay close to one another. RMHSNJ exists so that no family has to navigate medical uncertainty alone—and that commitment strongly resonates with who we are at BIG.
Showing Up as Family Before the Holidays
Just before Thanksgiving, 23 BIG team members—joined by their families—spent the morning transforming the Ronald McDonald House into a festive sanctuary for the holidays. Lights, garlands, ribbons, ornaments… our team brought the energy, creativity, and heart needed to ensure families arriving at the House would walk into joy the moment they stepped inside.
More importantly, it was a vivid reminder of what “Family First” means at BIG.
It’s not a slogan. It’s how we show up—for each other, for our customers, and for the communities we serve.
We left that morning grateful for our team, proud of their families, and humbled by the opportunity to support an organization that gives so much to others.

A Night of Magic on the Rails
The following week, RMHSNJ held its annual “Share A Night” celebration, where families gather to meet Santa and share their holiday wishes. This year, the night had an unexpected spark of wonder thanks to BIG’s own Ken Konopka and his family.
Ken dedicated countless hours to creating a sprawling holiday train display in the RMH movie room—three fully operating train lines weaving through a miniature winter world. Every child who walked into that room watched the magic come alive.
And in true BIG fashion, the display included a custom “BIG” caboose, complete with Banks Industrial Group logos circling the track—a small but meaningful symbol of the care, craftsmanship, and pride our team brings to everything we do.
Thank you Ken for your creativity, generosity, and heart for service!
